the mix of heavy helvetica now with those renaissance angel etchings is such an eyesore. using three.js for ribbons while trying to keep sixty frames per second sounds like a performance nightmare once you add real content. it's all cool until the lenis scroll breaks on a mobile browser. anyone actually tried building something this heavy without killing the battery?

the three.js stuff is fine if they actually use instanced meshes instead of raw geometry. just don't forget to set the opacity to 0 on those heavy textures

lenis scroll is such a pain on safari mobile. i had a client site do this last month and the jitter was ~~unbearable~~ insane on iphone. tbh just stick to native scrolling if you want people to actually stay on the page.
