That 3D circular dial sounds like a nightmare for performance once you actually load it.

I don't see how anyone can judge weight or tracking accurately with all those flight telemetry widgets and moving parts in the way. Probably just looks good on a high-end macbook

I tried playing with it on my old dell laptop and it was basically unusable. Are you running it on an m2 or something? I'm trying to see if the lag is just me.

The UI clutter is annoying, but you can literally just toggle the overlay off if you actually want to look at the glyphs. It's fine for a quick glance at kerning pairs once you get past the initial gimmick.

it shouldn't be that bad even on older hardware because the actual rendering of the glyphs stays pretty lightweight, though i definitely felt some stuttering when i was scrolling through the heavier weights. i kept expecting the interface to feel more responsive during those transitions, especially since the whole point is to feel that tactile connection to the font. do you think it's mostly the 3d elements causing the frame drops?
