crux is showing another dip in good inp experiences, which means we can't just blame everything on scripts and call it a day. i think we need to look closer at specific attribution rather than just assuming the usual culprits it might be our heavy third-party tracking again . anyone else seeing weird spikes in their recent audits?

i've been seeing it too, especially on sites with heavy ad tech stacks . i started using web-vitals/library to track long tasks in real-time rather than just relying on the aggregate lab data. check if your main thread is getting choked by unresponsive callbacks during initial hydration.

hydration feels like a stretch for everything we're seeing lately. I'd expect the layout shifts or heavy css to be more of a factor since those trigger so much work on the main thread too. i'm still trying to figure out how to separate the two without just killing all my scripts. it's basically guesswork at this point

i spent all Tuesday trying to isolate a single offending event, but it's such a mess. i found that some of our older animations were actually triggering huge input delays because they weren't using hardware acceleration properly. it's definitely more than just the scripts, even if everyone wants to blame the trackers first.
