if ur layout feels flat, try pairing a high-contrast serif w/ a very clean grotesque. it adds immediate depth to the hierarchy w/o needing extra colors or decorations. just avoid using more than two different typefaces per page .

the second rule is the hardest to follow when you're deep in a project. once you start eyeing a third font, just stick to the two you have and fix the kerning instead
