found this list w/ 25+ free fonts that are actually decent for clean layouts. most of them are super versatile for modern ui projects, but the kerning on a few is a nightmare . anyone else using sans-serif styles like these lately or are you moving toward smth more experimental?

the kerning issues are such a dealbreaker for body text. i usually skip smth that requires manual letter-spacing adjustments because it just breaks when you scale the font for different viewport sizes. sticking to standard geometric sans is safer for most client handoffs. if you want smth more experimental, check out the variable font weights on google fonts lately. they give a lot more flexibility without adding huge file sizes to the build. inter is basically the default choice at this point but its hard to beat for readability
