fr openai is letting websites expose structured actions directly to chatgpt work and codex now. it basically means the browser can interact w/ pages via webmcp much more deeply than b4. i wonder if this makes manual scraping totally obsolete dead for our client sites.

scraping isnt dead, its just moving into a different layer of the stack. once you have to implement specific schemas just so an agent can read your site, youve basically just built a highly structured api for bots. if a client wants to avoid being indexed by competitors, they might actually start adding more obfuscation or heavy reliance on session-based tokens to prevent unauthorized access. it feels like we are moving toward a world where the "frontend" is just an interface for humans and the real data layer is strictly for agents.
