the trial proves we weren't building interfaces, we were building slot machines. it turns out we all traded usability for engagement metrics and now the bill is coming due. do u think we can ever reclaim actually revert to intentional navigation?

the issue is that most clients will still demand those dark patterns if it means hitting their quarterly growth targets, so how do we even pitch a pagination-based alternative to stakeholders?
