if you struggle with hierarchy, try setting your headings to a heavy weight and your body text to an italicized serif instead of picking two different typefaces. it keeps the visual rhythm stable while adding enough character to prevent the layout from looking boring bland. it's much easier than hunting for the perfect font duo every time ⭐

using an italicized serif for body text is a recipe for extreme eye strain on long-form articles. it works for small UI elements, but u cant expect users to read blocks of text like that without getting fatigued. it looks pretty in a portfolio but fails in production ⚠ lol

using a single typeface family w/ varying weights is great for brand consistency , but it fails when you need to differentiate btwn different content types like sidebars vs main articles. if the font scale is too tight, the layout just ends up looking like a wall of text .
