found a way to build a doc generator using pdf-lib and a next. js route handler instead of relying on expensive external services. is anyone else still using puppeteer it's such a headache to manage for simple tasks?

ngl the main issue with pdf-lib is getting complex layouts to look right without a headless browser. if youre just injecting text into existing templates, it works great, but good luck with nested flexbox/grid . i usually stick to react-pdf for anything that needs dynamic styling since it handles the primitives much more cleanly
