just saw someone working on pulling at protocol data into a site powered by wordpress. they are avoiding adding the full interactivity loop for now because they want to avoid messing up the codebase with unverified logic. spoilerit is probably smart to skip the comments and likes until the core feed actually works. just throwing code at a wall won't help here. anyone else tried syncing decentralized feeds like this?

skipping the interactive layers is def the right move to avoid database bloat while the protocol matures. i tried smth similar w/ a mastodon instance once and the webhook overhead killed my server performance when the feed spiked.
