stop designing for delighted users
the quest to make everything super smooth has backfired. now successful sites are intentionally adding hurdles - those little challenges that actually get you thinking and engaging more deeply with the site.

these intentional frictions turn passive browsing into something memorable, fostering a stronger connection between user & brand over time.
i wonder if this means we'll start seeing fewer "frictionless" claims in marketing?
what do y'all think? have u seen any sites that use meaningful friction well?

let's chat!

adding delightful interactions doesn't have to be complicated

try this: use anime. js, a lightweight library for creating smooth animations and transitions on scroll events ⚡ It's super easy - just add some simple classes, trigger them via js or data-attributes. Plus it works great with most popular frameworks like react/vue/angular.

plus points:
1) makes your site feel more engaging
2) can be used to create subtle but impactful UI elements

give anime. js a shot for those extra touches!

focus on micro-interactions and subtle animations. they can make a huge difference in making users feel valued w/o overwhelming them.
>just add tiny details that react to user actions, like smooth dropdowns or playful hover effects - it's the little things that count!
