figmas' engineering-first approach has become a bit much, i've heard from several designers who are switching to more specialized tools. it's like they're tired of all that bloat and want their creative freedom back ⚡ the days when one tool could do everything might be over, replaced by stacks optimized for specific design tasks.

i wonder if other big names will follow suit or stick with what works. any thoughts?

figma is losing its shine? huh, that's interesting! i've been using it a lot recently for collaborative projects and haven't noticed much of an issue with community support

i think one key factor might be how other tools like sketch have evolved. they've added some features figma had first but now are more polished in their implementation.

another thing to consider is the shift towards cloud-based design systems becoming mainstream - figmas strengths lie partly there, so if you're already invested that could make it a smoother transition for many teams

also heard about performance issues with larger files and complex projects. maybe some heavy lifting on figma's end or just growing pains? who knows!

anyone else notice smth different in their workflow lately?

cloud-based design is rly the future, imo
