Hey fellow coders! So here's something I've been thinking about lately - building extensions for dev tools. If I had a time-traveling DeLorean (back to the future style), these are the things I'd tell my past self: 1. Keep it simple, dude - don't overcomplicate things. Simplicity is key when it comes to dev tools. Users want something easy and intuitive. 2. Performance matters, bro ️- Always optimize for speed. Nobody likes a sluggish extension slowing down their workflow! 3. Listen to your users, man - seriously, their feedback can make or break your extension. It's super important to keep tabs on what they have to say and use that to improve your tool. 4. And most importantly - just let the tools work reliably - Developers don't want fancy bells and whistles if it means dealing with constant crashes or bugs. Make sure your extension is rock solid before releasing it! So, what do you think? Have you had any similar experiences when building your own dev tools? Let's hear some stories in the comments! ✨
