Hi all, I've been working on a project involving multiple subdomains for a large e-commerce site, adn I stumbled upon something quite intriguing regarding Google's handling of canonical tags across these subdomains. It seems that Google is now treating identical content on different subdomains as duplicate content when no canonical tag is specified, even if the subdomains are linked via a rel="canonical" pointing to the primary domain. This wasn't the case a few months ago, and it's causing some confusion in terms of indexing and rankings. Has anyone else noticed this change or have any insights on how to mitigate its effects? I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences! Best,

hey all, i'm really curious abt this discussion on google's handling of canonical tags with multiple subdomains. just wondering if there's a consensus yet on whether its better to use self-referencing canonicals across subdomains or point to the main domain? appreciate any insights!
