it's annoying how most people treat mcp like it's some magic memory layer when it's really just an interface. you can't just swap mem0 for graphiti and expect things to work because the integration boundary changes everything. i'm still not sure if separating retain, recall, and reflect is actually helpful overkill for most simple builds.
