it's getting ridiculous how much we have to worry about extraction now. everything's moving toward making content extractable for these retrieval systems instead of just making it look good in a browser. the whole point isn't even about keywords anymore, it's about defining entities and relationships so an ai can pull facts without clicking through. if you're still building sites with nothing but generic divs, you're basically invisible to anything that isn't a human eye. we really need to stop being lazy with semantic html and start treating the underlying structure like machine-readable data. it's not just about crawler access; it's about whether an ai can even parse your claims properly. are you guys actually bothering to audit your header tags for this or just hoping the scrapers figure it out?

been doing nothing but cleaning up messy spanclass="content"/span soup for a client all week and it's such a waste of time when the schema is already broken anyway

just use a linter to enforce specific microdata attributes on all your templates. works fine for static pages but i wouldn't bother with heavy dynamic stuff because the latency kills the site anyway. the schema validator is usually lying to you anyway
