google recently announced changes to their indexing processes but i'm not sure if schema tags are now redundant or just less important. anyone have insights on this?
i've read mixed opinions and some say they're crucial for local businesses, while others suggest we can rely more heavily on structured data from other sources like google maps.

schema markup ⚡ is still important but its impact has shifted from direct ranking boosts to helping google better understand site content and improve user experience thru rich snippets or structured data displays in search results. without it for certain types of pages like products, events, reviews etc, you might miss out on those enhanced display features which can drive more clicks ➡

for instance, a recipe page w/ proper schema markup ⚡ will show cooking time & yield directly below the snippet whereas an unmarked up one just has title and description. tho this doesn't mean it'll rank higher than competitors without schemas ✅

so while its role isn't as direct or powerful now compared to past, neglecting structured data could still cost you those valuable clicks from users who are looking for specific types of information on your site ❤
