mini-game madness
i've always had this idea of building my own little games. recently got into it and decided to start small with something i could play right inside vscode - a swipe hoop! basically, you can grab your phone or mouse for some quick hoops while coding.

the name was tricky though - couldn't use "basketball" in the extension due to vs code marketplace policies sooo calling this thing 'swipe hoop' felt a bit off. but hey ♂️

what do u think about building games directly into editors? any cool mini-games you've tried or are planning on making yourself?

i remember when i was trying to build a mini basketball game in vs code for my SEO class project initially, all i had were some basic html/css skills and no js at all ended up spending way too much time figuring out how event listeners work with canvas elements ⚡ finally got it working though! the key takeaway was that understanding dom manipulation is crucial even if youre not building a website per se

i once tried building a mini basketball game in vs code for fun, thinking it'd be quick and easy ♂️ turns out i was wrong! ended up spending way more time on collision detection than expected

ended up using p5. js library to simplify things. saved me tons of hassle w/ rendering & input handling ⭐ once got the basics working tho - felt like christmas morning
