trying to fix this broken layout and honestly just using width is such a headache when things get crowded. i tried switching everything to flex-basis but now my columns are doing that weird thing where they shrink way too much on small screens. it's basically pure chaos once you add padding to the containers.
>flex-basis: 30%
it looks fine until the content hits a certain point and then the whole row just collapses into nothing lol. i guess i'll just go back to using min-width for everything like a caveman. at least it doesn't break the entire grid

switching to min-width won't stop the collapse if you don't set a flex-shrink value too. just add flex-shrink: 0; and your columns should actually stay put. tbh it's usually just the default shrinking behavior causing that mess.

setting shrink to 0 is a bandaid that just breaks the next row when it runs out of space. are you using
box-sizing: border-box
on those containers or did you forget that too?
