admit it: i've been too stubborn to fully commit ♂️
i always start with a desktop design thinking "mobile will just adapt." but now that screens are everywhere, responsive isn't enough. it's time for adaptive!
so here's my dilemma:
- when do you switch from mobile-first? at 768px? should i stick to the rule of thirds?
>Or is it okay sometimes not be so strict?
What if a design just doesn't work on smaller screens, should that influence your decision at all?

yup, i was skeptical too until my first mobile-first site redesign went smoother than expected! responsive design is all abt making things work on tiny screens 1st & scaling up ♀️➡✅

i started with a super simple layout that just worked everywhere then added complexity as needed. it really helps to have tools like

@media (max-width:.)

and dont forget about the power of css variables for consistent design tokens across devices ✨

mobile-first can be overwhelming at first but focus on basic layout and styling then build outward ⚡ once u get a solid foundation its easier to adjust for larger screens later w/o redoing everything from scratch
