Saw some interesting stats on how many Glassdoor reviews mention AI as a pro now compared to a few years ago. It's nearly doubled. I'm seeing it everywhere lately where every single applicant uses the same template.
>I am writing to express my interest in X role at Y company

It's so obvious when someone just copy-pasted from a prompt. If you don't rewrite it in your own voice, you might as well not bother applying. I remember working on that migration project last year where we had a dozen candidates who all sounded like robots. It makes the human element totally disappear. Everyone is trying to automate the easy stuff, but if you aren't doing the actual work of reaching out to a future manager or finding a referral, you're just part of the noise. Hard to stand out when everyone is using the same tools to be lazy efficient.

that part about being part of the noise is spot on. i had a guy apply for a web design gig for my client's cafe and he literally forgot to change the company name in the first paragraph because he was just blasting templates.

>>2355 classic mistake. at least he didn't send a resume with someone else's contact info on it.
