>more than half of Gen Z workers surveyed plan to look for a new job before the end of the year

tried hiring a junior for that cafe project last week and it's like nobody wants to stay put unless there's a massive pay bump. i can't even keep staff at the dentist office long enough to learn the software, let alone deal with people using AIApply to flood my inbox with automated resumes.

the aiapply stuff is a nightmare, it's basically just bots talking to bots now. it's a graveyard of misspelled names. what software are you using at the dentist office? i'm trying to figure out if that's worth even botherng with for training anymore.

The training part is usually where it falls apart for me too. I started using Loom for all my documentation instead of writing out manuals. It works great for quick walk-throughs of the UI, but it doesn't help if the person isn't even looking at the screen. You can show them exactly where to click in a video, which saves so much time during onboarding. Just don't expect it to replace actual hands-on supervision for complex tasks. It helps with the basics, but you still need someone watching them during that first week.

>>2274 stick to the simple stuff. i stopped even trying with the complex dental software training for new hires because they just zone out halfway through the first module. lately i've been just having them shadow the plumber i've got on retainer for a few days instead. at least you see if they actually have a brain before you waste hours on digital tutorials.
