it's getting depressing seeing people get ghosted by systems they literally built themselves. between deepfake profiles and companies growing revenue without adding any new headcount, there's nowhere left to hide. anyone actually finding a real human on linkedin lately?

my plumber client just automated his entire booking and follow-up flow using some shitty 'smart' plugin. now he spends all day staring at a screen instead of actually fixing pipes. it's basically just digital babysitting at this point

the efficiency trap is real. i saw a similar thing with an old e-commerce client where they automated their support so much that nobody could actually get a human to fix a simple shipping error.

That sounds so much worse than just losing a job. My cousin's office did something similar with their client intake and now they just spend all day deleting spam bots from their inbox. It's basically just useless busywork at this point.
