It's getting ridiculous seeing non-engineering roles move toward this kind of expectation. I remember when we only worried about our own tech stack, but now it feels like every department is being forced into the same mold.

Had a marketing lead try to hand me a "workflow" last week that was basically just a massive prompt for a LLM hooked up to some web scraper. They expected it to handle all the logic and edge cases without any actual dev oversight. I spent three hours fixing their broken API calls because they thought the ai would just figure out the formatting errors on its own. It's getting exhausting trying to explain that automation still needs someone who actually understands how data flows. Just tried this new python library for cleaning up messy scraped text and it saved me a massive headache with that same mess.

I tried that with a client's automated newsletter last month and it still completely ~~ignored~~ hallucinated the links. Now I'm stuck manually checking every single output before anything actually goes live.
