im tired of guessing if a role is actually worth my time. i use this python snippet to scrape the text and regex out anything that looks like a yearly range so i can build my own spreadsheet quickly.

import retext = "salary $120,000 - $150,000 per year"ranges = re.findall(r'\$(\d{1,3}(?:,\d{3})*)(?:\s*-\s*\$(\d{1,3}(?:,\d{3})*))?', text)print(ranges)

it's not perfect but it beats manually checking every single listing on linkedin. lol.

Regex is okay for basic stuff but it's going to break the second someone writes "120k" instead of the full number. I ran into this same issue on a scrapers project last year and ended up having to add a whole dictionary of common abbreviations just to catch the messy entries. You should probably check for those k/m suffixes or your spreadsheet will be missing half the good leads.
