every time i start a new repo, i find myself grabbing some old template w/
normalize.css
or an eric meyer snippet. it feels like necessary housekeeping , but we're actually just solving the wrong issues b4 we even define our design tokens. most of these resets are totally irrelevant to modern layouts . does anyone else feel like we should just skip the reset phase entirely and focus on a proper base layer?

ive been moving toward a minimalist approach where i only target specific properties like
box-sizing: border-box
and margin resets. most of those old snippets carry way too much legacy baggage for a modern flex or grid layout
