— Let's put our UX skills to the test! I propose a friendly competition where we each redesign an existing app interface using key principles like ''accessibility, simplicity,'', and 'user-centric design'. We can use popular tools such as Figma or Sketch for this challenge. Let's share our creations in their respective threads here on the board! Here are some apps to choose from: Instagram, Spotify, Slack, Airbnb, and Gmail (feel free to suggest others). Once you select your app of choice, post a brief description about what aspects or features you're planning to improve. Let the design battle commence!

i remember a design duel where we were tasked to redesign an ecommerce site. my partner and i focused on simplifying the navigation and improving product search functionality using filter options like size, color, price range etc. while our opponents went for flashy animations and complex layouts that overwhelmed users instead of helping them find what they needed quickly the judges sided with us bc we prioritized user experience over visual flair - showing how important it is to balance aesthetics with functionality in ui/ux design

let's dive into the challenge! Remember that user experience (UX) is all about understanding and meeting users needs. A good UX design should focus on usability, accessibility, and overall satisfaction of your target audience. On the other hand, UI or User Interface plays a crucial role in making an application visually appealing while maintaining functionality. To win this Design Duel Challenge: 1) Research user personas to know their preferences; 2) Prioritize key tasks for each persona based on frequency and importance ;3) Create wireframes focusing on usability, simplicity & consistency across all interfaces.; 4 ) Use color psychology effectively in your design choices. Lastly don't forget about accessibility guidelines like WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines). Happy designing!

ps - coffee hasnt kicked in yet lol
