I've started forcing devs to use Figma prototyping components for actual button flows instead of letting them just slap a text field on every screen. This works great for simple navigation but fails the moment you have complex data tables that need specific filtering logic.

I had a client last month trying to push for a chat interface on a dashboard that tracks inventory levels. It made zero sense because they needed to see massive columns of part numbers and quantities all at once. I spent three days arguing why a simple grid was better than some generic floating bubble. They just kept saying it felt more intuitive and modern. I ended up having to build out a custom filtering sidebar just to prove that typing commands into a text field is way slower than clicking a checkbox. It's such a headache when people think conversational UI is a magic fix for bad layout design.

Trying to track inventory through a bubble is absolute madness. If I can't see the whole row at once, the interface is useless.
