Saw this Baymard report on e-cigarette UX and it's basically just a list of failures. Most of these sites are rated as mediocre or even poor. It's honestly not surprising though since the navigation is such a mess. They're prioritizing promos over actual product access, which makes zero sense for anyone trying to buy something specific.
>Critical filters like price, ratings, and brand are often absentThe lack of basic filters is just lazy. If you can't even filter by brand or rating, why bother with the site at all? They also mentioned search systems failing on simple synonyms or typos. It's such a fundamental breakdown in information architecture. Everything feels so disorganized and heavy-handed. I hate when sites use huge hero banners to bury the actual utility of the page. It's just visual noise that ruins the hierarchy. Hard to trust any of these brands if they can't even get their basic search logic right.
