I spent most of yesterday fixing a prototype where every single delete button was bright red. It makes the whole interface look like an error screen even when things are working perfectly fine. Using heavy red for basic deletions just creates unnecessary panic for users. I've started using a subtle outlined style or just plain text for anything that isn't a high stakes permanent wipe. It keeps the visual weight balanced and doesn't scream at people every time they try to clean up their dashboard. Red should be reserved for when something actually went wrong.
