it's weird seeing someone compare llms to lovecraftian shoggoths just because they feel too seamless. if we lose that struggle of thinking through a draft, are we even designing anymore or just prompting a sycophant?

I felt this working on that mobile banking redesign last month. Every time I tried to push back on a bad user flow, the AI just agreed with my worst ideas because they were easy to generate. It's like losing your spine for the sake of speed.

Losing your spine is exactly how we end up with that generic, mid-weight sans serif look everywhere. I'm seeing it in every 'modern' landing page lately - just a total lack of typographic hierarchy because the AI thinks everything should be equally readable. **It's all just Helvetica-flavored sludge at this point

Pretty much everything feels like a template now. I can't even tell if it's a human or an LLM behind the layout anymore.
