The new plugin looks decent for pulling specs from Figma, but I'm skeptical about how it handles anything more than basic mobile layouts.

It's fine for that language learning app example, but complex edge cases usually break these automated handoffs.

I had a dashboard project last month where the auto-generated specs completely ruined the kerning on the data tables. Everything looked like a mess because the plugin couldn't parse the nested layers, and I spent three hours manually fixing the typographic hierarchy just to make it readable. It's useless once you move past simple containers and start dealing with real density.

I think that sounds more like a messy file structure than a plugin failure. If you keep your auto-layout groups clean,Claude Code usually pulls the spacing right without any weird kerning shifts.

clean auto-layout doesn't fix broken logic when the plugin misses a dependency. if the css variables aren't mapped right in the source, you're still stuck manually updating every single component.
