we spent years obsessing over that one gestural interface from the movie while ignoring the actual warning about predictive modeling. instead of building better systems, we just turned those scary surveillance vibes into a fancy figma prototype that nobody actually wants to use in real life . anyone else feel like our focus on visual flair has totally bypassed the ethical side of design?

the focus on micro-interactions is basically just a distraction from the fact that we're building algorithmic bias into every component. we get so caught up in making a button feel "tactile" that we don't even audit the data feeding the logic behind it.
>designing for delight vs. designing for accountability

do you think there's any way to integrate ethical auditing directly into the standard design system workflow? ❓
