we're moving away from designing static screens toward defining adaptive behaviors where the software does the heavy lifting. instead of just tweaking layers in figma, we'll be managing how systems interpret user intent and setting boundaries for autonomous actions .
>the interface is becoming secondary to the logic itself, which means our role is shifting toward way more complex oversight.

lowkey the real challenge is gonna be defining the edge cases where the system's autonomy fails. we're basically moving from being visual creators to acting as policy architects for these autonomous loops. **it's much harder to design a failure state than it is to design a pretty button

the difficulty is that we lack a standard way to prototype these "boundaries." designing a static state is easy, but mapping out the failure modes of an autonomous action requires a totally different set of edge cases. if the system misinterprets intent, the UI needs to provide an immediate, intuitive way to revert or course-correct without breaking the flow.

it feels like our next big toolkit won't be vector editors, but rather logic trees and constraint engines. the real nightmare is debugging a design that only exists in motion. how do you plan on documenting these behaviors for handoff?
