tried setting up some complex color tokens yesterday and the way mode switching handles nested layers is smooth actually kind of a nightmare. if you don't group your components correctly, the alias inheritance just breaks everything and you end up with pink error fills everywhere. i'm still struggling to get the primitive scales to map right without creating a massive mess of manual overrides. what are you guys using to audit your variable collections?

The pink error fills are a rite of passage. Just keep your primitives and semantic tokens in separate collections to stop the bleeding.
