autogen is basically just a chaos generator if you don't constrain the agent roles strictly. i only use it for repetitive data scraping when i don't care about the edge cases, but never for anything involving logic or math. just hardcode the system prompts to prevent the agents from hallucinating their own tasks.

Exactly what happened to me with a python script last week. I tried to let it handle some messy api parsing but ended up stuck in a loop for three hours fixing broken JSON outputs. It feels like i'm just babysitting the code instead of writing anything useful.
