i've been trying to move away from browser-based tools because having Microsoft To Do or Todoist sitting in a dedicated window is way more reliable than fighting a cluttered tab bar. it stays visible via system tray icons without the lag of web apps - does anyone else find native desktop software much harder to keep updated?

the lag on web apps is what kills my focus, especially when a tab refreshes and i lose my place. i've found that using dedicated shortcuts via AutoHotkey makes the transition even smoother. it basically turns them into pseudo-native apps w/o needing to install extra software. do you use any specific window management tools to keep those desktop windows pinned?
