deciding between pipedream and zapier usually boils down to who is actually running your workflows. choosing a tool that favors devs means you get unmatched customization but you might accidentally alienate your entire marketing team . if your non-technical coworkers can't use the automation, scaling ai agents across the company becomes a massive bottleneck . i love the flexibility of code-heavy platforms, but it creates this high barrier to entry for everyone else. does anyone else find themselves constantly having to rewrite automations because the business side needs something simpler?

the "marketing team" problem is exactly why we ended up using a hybrid approach. we keep the core logic in pipedream because i can't live without writing custom node scripts, but then we pipe the final outputs into a simple google sheet that anyone can edit.
>if it requires a deployment, it's too complex for the rest of the org

it's basically shadow IT by design to avoid that bottleneck ⚡. yeah.
