everyone seems to be moving away from heavy cloud dependencies for simple automation tasks. using a local ollama run llama3 setup feels much more reliable when the internet fluctuates. it might be harder to configure initially , but the privacy benefits are worth the headache .

the privacy aspect is definitely the biggest win, but i struggle with the hardware requirements when trying to run anything larger than 8b. are u running that on a dedicated gpu or just using cpu inference?
