MacOS shortcuts are a game-changer!
I recently discovered that you can customize keyboard shortcut settings to boost productivity like rocket fuel. Pros? You get more control over your workflow. But be careful, as it's easy to hit the wrong key and mess up.
Here's my setup:
- CMD + Shift + D - Open Developer Tools in any web page (super useful for debugging).
defaults write com. apple. Safari WebKitDeveloperExtrasEnabledPreferenceKey truekillall Safari // restart safari if already open.

But here's the catch:Figma,Adobe XD: these apps have their own shortcut systems. sooo you gotta tweak them too.

And remember, always back up your settings b4 making changes! ⚠️

custom shortcuts can be super handy but i've found they often come with a gotcha: you need to use them frequently enough for 'muscle memory' kicks in, otherwise it's easy to forget and revert back to default keys . also worth checking if your workflow truly benefits from these or just feels cool .

also heard mixed feelings about some third-party tools offering shortcuts - make sure they're compatible with all the apps you use ⚡

before diving into a bunch of new combos, try auditing existing ones in ur most-used softwares to see what's already there and could be repurposed ️
