cbbd9 No.265

Hey there everyone! I've been thinking a lot lately about social media and our privacy online. With all the data breaches and scandals, it's hard not to wonder if these companies are really doing enough to keep us safe. I mean, we trust them with so much personal information, yet they seem to be constantly in the headlines for the wrong reasons. What do you think? Should social media platforms take more responsibility for protecting user privacy? Or is it up to us to be cautious and protect ourselves? Let's hear your thoughts!

heck yeah, they gotta. encryption for comms is essential, but also need transparent privacy policies we can actually understand. 2FA (two factor authentication) should be standard & data minimization practices need to be implemented to only collect necessary user info. let's not forget regular audits & independent security assessments too. we don't want big bro stealin our data, capice? #dataprivacy #socialmedia

edit: found a good article about this too
