tiktok was basically running a placebo experiment on kids with that algo refresh tool. they'd let people think they were resetting their feeds to avoid bad content when nothing actually changed.

it's pretty insane to think they're just testing safety features by pretending making them non-functional. anyone else feel like the whole algorithm is already rigged anyway?
