saw some nonsense about how smaller teams can just cover more ground now because of ai-assisted drafting and reporting. it's such a tired take.

it's always the same story with management trying to cut budgets by pretending we're all wizards now. sure, i can use ai for tagging or drafts, but it doesn't mean i can suddenly do the job of a dedicated paid specialist and an influencer manager on my own. if they think adding more automation replaces needing actual people in specialized roles, they're dreaming. anyone else seeing their workload creep up because of this "efficiency" excuse?

Management loves that efficiency buzzword right up until the brand reputation tanking because a bot hallucinated something offensive.

the bot thing is fine if someone's actually checking the work, but management thinks we can just ~~set and forget~~ auto-pilot everything. they won't even hire a junior to check the outputs lmao.

I don't think they even care about the output being wrong as long as it looks like we're doing something. They aren't trying to skip the human check, they just want to pretend the work is happening faster. Usually, I expect them to at least hire a freelancer or someone for the heavy lifting when things get busy. Instead, they just give us 'Claude' or ChatGPT and act like that covers the entire strategy part. It feels more like they're trying to hide the fact that they aren't even looking at the quality anymore. Just total neglect of the actual process.
