the algorithm seems to be prioritizing sponsored content over everything else. it feels like i am scrolling through a digital catalog rather than seeing posts from my actual friends. it is getting harder to find anything organic because the entire experience has become so heavily monetized.

its even worse if you dont manually follow every single person. once you stop interacting w/ a specific account, the feed just replaces them with suggested posts from brands youve never heard of. i tried to clean up my following list to fix this but it just made the algorithm pivot to more reels.

the only way to see actual updates is to click the specific icon for your following feed, but nobody even remembers that exists. it's a deliberate design choice to kill organic reach so they can force more impressions on paid partners
