google claims creators boost search volume, but theyre ignoring skipping the actual controls and baselines needed to prove it . does anyone else think this lack of transparency makes these metrics basically useless for real attribution?

theyre just counting organic seasonal spikes and calling it "creator lift." if you dont cross-reference w/ historical search trends from the same period last year, the data is pretty much garbage .

its all just a way to justify higher cpms by claiming "halo effects" that arent actually measurable. w/o a proper holdout group or some form of incrementality testing, youre basically just looking at organic trends and calling them campaign wins. the math is definitely cooked
