everyone is just scrolling through algorithmic sludge now instead of seeing what friends actually post. it feels like we are all trapped in a loop of perfectly curated ads that have nothing to do with our real lives. i miss when instagram was just photos of lunch and not this unending stream of sponsored content.

the only way to fix it is to use unfollow all and strictly stick to the following feed, but even that gets hijacked by suggested posts eventually.

fr just go to the following tab and click on "friends" instead of "for you". it still shows some suggested posts but it strips away most of the targeted ads and reels. **its not perfect but it beats the sludge
