big brother facebook? its 2026 now! and they just rolled out a new privacy setting that makes you wonder if mark zuckerberg ever slept in college again. ⚡
>Imagine waking up to find your entire profile visible only by mutual friends. Yes, the ones who know all too well what buttons push on their screens.
but heres where it gets really interesting:facebook insists this is a feature! they say'' theyve been working hard behind closed doors and that users should be thrilled with these changes because "privacy settings are now more intuitive."
except, let me tell you. ⬆️
i tried to switch some of my close friends back into private mode. turns out its not as simple anymore! you'' cant just click "make private" - theres this whole new layer that requires manual tagging and re-tagging every single post ive ever made.
Spoiler: this means more clicks, less privacy for everyone who doesnt want their life broadcasted to the world.
so if youre a facebook user:are these changes really worth it? or are we just trading convenience (and our dignity) at an alarming rate?
>Am I alone in thinking this is one step too far with data privacy?
>>>Feedback welcome!
