both are essential but which one should you prioritize?
instagram has been flexing its muscles with ''igtv, now moving into stories territory thru 'reels'. meanwhile, facebook is pushing harder than ever to keep users on the platform by beefing up their video features.
if your goal's about engagement and trending content in a short form format - go facebook reels: they're super easy for new creators. with built-in music library & quick editing tools that make it perfect if you want viral clips fast ⚡
but, let's not forget the ''instagram highlights. they're great because users can come back to your content even after a while and find what interests them w/o scrolling through endless posts their longevity makes for better brand storytelling.
for me? i'm all about balancing both. use reels when you need something quick & catchy, maybe 1-3 times per week - it's perfect if there's an urgent trend to jump on or a spontaneous idea
then use highlights regularly - weekly minimum - to keep your content fresh and easily accessible for followers who might not be as active daily
