glenn gabe is seeing some weirdness with the ai overview labels disappearing on desktop while they stay visible on mobile. it's basically just showing up for stuff like movies or shows without any actual disclaimer. semrush is even reporting a drop in these overviews appearing which makes zero sense because i'm seeing them everywhere lately. honestly probably just another bug like we've seen before but it's annoying to track. i was just looking at the rankings for that cafe client and everything looks fine but this lack of transparency is sketchy. if they start stripping labels it's gonna be impossible to tell what's organic and what's generated. makes it way harder to explain performance swings to my clients when the search results are literally changing their identity mid-stream. just another day in google search i guess.
