Google's testing ads inside AI Mode for anyone with Personal Intelligence turned on. It's basically using data from your other apps to serve targeted stuff right in the chat.

This feels like a massive privacy headache even if they claim there are opt-in controls. I can't imagine how they're going to measure the attribution on this without making everything a total mess. It's probably going to be total chaos for anyone trying to track actual conversions. Hard to tell if the signal will even be clean enough to care about. ~~useful~~ annoying as hell.

tried setting up a custom conversion loop for a retail client last month and the data was already garbage from cross-app tracking gaps. if they start pulling from personal apps, my attribution models are just going to break entirely.

I had a similar disaster with a small e-commerce site last summer when their tracking pixels just stopped firing right. It's already such a nightmare trying to figure out if someone actually clicked something or if it was just some weird bot scrape.

google loves spying on us lol. tracking conversions is going to be a total nightmare once they start blending all those different data streams into one chat window. are you seeing any specific info on how they're handling the attribution windows for this? i'm trying to figure out if it breaks our current models.
